Rules and Regulations

  1. No shooter or guest shall drink alcohol or use illegal drugs prior to, during, or after shooting while on LCSC grounds.
  2. No one under the age of 18 is allowed on range unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or a certified instructor. The parent, guardian or certified instructor is responsible for watching and instructing those under the age of 18.
  3. All who enter the range are responsible for reading any posted signs and range warning signs and abiding by all rules and regulations of Lake Creek Shooting Club.
  4. Range gates will be closed at all times unless the LCSC is hosting an event.
  5. It is the responsibility and obligation of all members to keep the shooting range safe. Report to any executive board member, when a person violates the rules of the shooting range.
  6. The LCSC is a cold range. All guns will be unloaded and in a carrying case. This does not apply to law officers. Guns will not be loaded until the shooter is at the firing line.
  7. When on the firing line eye and ear protection must be worn at all times.
  8. All shooting will stop when the command “Cease fire” is given. All guns with a bolt will be left open and pistols will be put on safety then placed pointing down range. There will be NO handling of firearms when there is a “Cease fire”. All firearms will be unloaded before anyone goes down range to check targets.
  9. No quick drawing or the use of holsters will be allowed on shooting range. The use of holsters will be allowed when running the combat course.
  10. All targets must set upright and not be placed on flat ground. Preferable paper target.
  11. The use of exploding targets will not be allowed. No tracer or armor piercing bullets will be allowed.
  12. The use of full auto or bump stock guns will not be allowed.
  13. (50) cal. Guns will not be allowed.
  14. Shooters will be responsible for picking up their trash. This includes 22 brass.
  15. Members are responsible for the guest that they bring. No more than two guest per year.
  16. There will be no loaning of cards to other members or nonmembers.
  17. If a card is lost or stolen, the card will be replaced at the member’s expense.
  18. Be courteous, if course is busy please limit your time on the firing line to one hour so others may shoot.
